Who is Sualeh Asif? Is the hype real, and what is the story behind it?

Social media and mainstream media will never believe that a Pakistani can be an owner or the founder of a US $10 billion company because of Pakistan's bad economic indicators and lack of reforms. All the audience heard was an Indian or Western origin success story. But it is true that Sualeh Asif is the person behind the US $10 billion company called Cursor. Sualeh Asif is just 25 years old, which is the age of gaining experience. However, it is once in a lifetime that any person will hear that a 25-year-old is the owner and founder of a company worth US$10 billion. Sualeh Asif, being a Pakistani, is a proud moment, no doubt; however, that is not it, as being Pakistani does not make a person automatically successful. Moreover, he did not study in Pakistan; otherwise, if he had studied there, it is a fact that he would have reached the level he is at today. He did not graduate from Pakistan, nor did he raise any funds from Pakistan.

He studied in the USA, but yes, he was born in Karachi. Sualeh Asif studied at MIT in the US, then he gained experience in Silicon Valley, gaining knowledge that would help to support his innovation. He was able to learn from the experienced and knowledgeable people there. He also had support and motivation from us. Sualeh Asif developed a company called Cursor that helps IT people to develop code in an easy way. Therefore, it is a proud moment that a Pakistani-born person is the founder and owner of a US $10 billion company; however, it would have been better if it was done in Pakistan. If it was done in Pakistan, then we would have gotten worth of at least US 9-10 billion dollars in inflows via investment in FDI. However, to make that possible, Pakistan would be required to reform its education department and also need to focus on the educational department. It is a long-term reform plan, and if it is done correctly, then Pakistan would see many Sualeh Asif businesspeople in Pakistan.
